Workroom ResetAn office between shifts.

Workroom Reset plans small-office cleaning around the hours when passages empty, kitchens fill up and meeting rooms change hands. A useful scope records the spaces the team can enter as well as the ones that need to stay in use.

Sketch a four-week roster

Compare one visit with two per week across your planning window. This is a count of visit slots for discussion; calendar months do not all contain the same number of working weeks.

Start at the point where a cleaner will arrive rather than at the largest room. Decide who opens the door, which rooms are occupied and how the team knows the visit is finished. Those details make the difference between a workable timetable and a neat list on paper.

Mark areas where devices must stay connected and desks where documents are being used. Record a contact role rather than putting a door code or staff member’s private number into a general checklist. Discuss secure access directly with the person responsible for the premises.

Scope of work

Recurring office visit

Map the occupied workstations and the areas shared by everyone. We agree which surfaces are included so a quiet desk does not become an invitation to move papers.

Common areas

Passages, entrances and shared surfaces have different patterns of use. Identify where people queue or gather before choosing the sequence for the visit.

Kitchen and washroom care

If a kitchenette is busy until lunch finishes, schedule another space first. Access to a single washroom matters more than its size when the whole team relies on it.

Periodic office deep clean

Set aside tasks outside the routine visit and define them separately. A periodic clean needs its own scope and an agreed window when the space can be made available.

The meeting room with a full diary

A monthly plan can look tidy until the smallest room is booked every time the cleaners arrive. On the walk-through, compare the room bookings with the proposed visits. You might decide to start in the kitchenette and leave a short period for the meeting room later. Record the order rather than asking reception to improvise each week.

For the first review, ask one person to note exceptions. Was the room inaccessible, was a surface already in use, or did the team need a different product? Those are three different issues with different solutions. A short factual note is more useful than a score with no explanation. Use it to adjust the agreed list before the next invoice cycle.

My office scope

Choose the option you want to discuss and add a detail in your own words. List spaces the team can enter, without keys or security codes. The text file is yours to keep or share later.

The handover between reception and the team

Keep one working list for an ordinary visit. A separate line can record exceptions such as a locked meeting room or a kitchen being used for catering. This distinction makes the monthly review factual: it shows where access changed rather than implying the cleaning scope has expanded every time the office hosts guests.

How is the monthly price set?

Area, frequency and agreed scope inform the monthly plan. The compact arrangement uses invoice payment.

Can a room be left for next time?

Agree the change with the team. We can revisit the sequence without pretending a room was completed while it remained occupied.

Does office cleaning cover hazardous waste?

No. Biological or construction waste and specialist remediation are outside the ordinary office scope.
